Nestled within the High Peaks of the Adirondack Mountains, Lake Placid is not only the home to the 1932 and 1980 Winter Olympics, it is also a beautiful place that boasts spectacular views and an abundance of recreational activities! We chose three different activities that comprise a three hour guided tour with transportation. There is only room for 44 people on the morning tour and 44 people on the afternoon tour. Reserve your spot early to make sure that you can be a part of this amazing experience!

Cost: $20/person – Includes admission to the bobsled run, elevator ride to the ski jump, transportation, and a guide.

Olympic Torch Viewing: (20 minutes)

We will visit an observation deck for visitors to view the Olympic Torch that was lit during the 1980 Winter Games. The design of the deck echoes the logo of the 1980 Olympics, resembling an outline of the Adirondack Mountains. Also, historical markers at the deck site outline the Olympic history of the village.

Olympic Jumping Complex: (1 hour)

At the Olympic Jumping Complex, you’ll see up close the ramp that ski jumpers launch from before flying over the length of a football field. Take the elevator to the observation deck of the K-120 meter jump. At the top you will find a panoramic view of the Adirondack High Peaks as you stroll through the ski jumpers preparation room. Then get a bird’s eye view of what the jumpers see as they start to accelerate towards the end of the ramp.
